When man ploughed the sea is a concert-installation especially created for the Museum of Labour Michel Giacometti, headquartered in a former fish cannery in Setubal. A dialogue between music and poetry inspired by the world of fishing and sea images. Original music crosses traditional Portuguese inspiration with more experimental sounds, using conventional instruments such as violins and viola braguesa and sound objects or elements of nature such as cans, marbles or water.
